Order Based Planning : Cross-System Stock Transfer Support
The 2508 release enhances cross-system integration by supporting stock transfer scenarios between different systems. This is particularly beneficial for organizations with distributed ERP landscapes.
To use this functionality, you need to enhance Location master data with Customer or Vendor mapping.
Order Based Planning : New Delivery OData API
A new OData API has been released that allows external systems to read delivery data from IBP. This improves interoperability and supports advanced integration requirements with external logistics or execution systems.
Demand Planning : AI-Assisted Forecast Explanations in Planning Uis
SAP has made a very good step and introduced some ability to explain the statistical forecasting results, if this functionality is mature enough it would significantly help demand planners to understand the statistical forecasting results.
Planner Workspaces : Comparison of Scenarios With Scorecards
SAP IBP would now give you the ability to compare scenarios, put them side to side and compare them based on their scorecards. These scorecards would be generated based on pre-defined KPI’s, user can then evaluate scorecard and choose the best scenario and promote it to Baseline.
Planner Workspaces : Performance Analysis of Planning Views
A very nice feature is now the ability to run a performance analysis on your planning view, the analysis can provide you with useful information like :
- Time it takes to load the data based the current planning view configuration
- Time taken w/o using filters, planning notes etc
- Time taken because of multiple time periods being used
This way you can see implications of the settings you have applied in your planning view and optimize them for your usage.
